I’m viewing this from a USDM perspective.

It looks nice in the pics but that’s some strong money even after factoring in import costs and I don’t trust anything on Spanish plates not to be a bashed up pile of crap.

CP. I’d personally pay $5,000 tops for that thing.

I’d be okay with them transitioning into just selling neat imports

I shipped another E30 Touring to the US. It was in a nicer condition than the one in the link. Better interior with the lusted after sports seats without rips and lower mileage. And zero rust. Downside was that it was RWD with an automatic. Still though, we struggled to get $7.5k.

Another example of these people doubleling, tripling, or even quadroupling the price of a car just because they imported it. You buy from them, you got ripped off.

No. Not from a USDM perspective. They are charging double if not triple the price of the car for $1000 shipping plus $150 of customs fees.

Ya apparently you can seriously rip people off easily.

It’s all about supply and demand

No it isn’t. If it was then these cars would be skyrocketing in price, which they are not.... except on this single web site.
It’s about taking advantage of stupid people with money who can’t be bothered to spend 15 minutes researching a purchase. Like the dumb people who go to dealerships and look at sticker and just hand over the money without negotiating and say “yes” to everything they try to sell them. “And here’s the price for the dust coasting on your carbonator matrix, that’s another $1500” “Oh ok” ::pays money::
I imported a Skyline after spending 15 minutes researching and they charge more than double what I paid including shipping to my door for cars that have the equivalent of Japanese salvage titles.

Let’s just say this. Let’s say I wanted this car.
For $15k I could take two weeks UNPAID vacation, travel to Japan OR Germany and stay in a decent hotel and travel the country to find the perfect E30 and come back with TWO of these and still have saved money.
Or I could go to Italy and do the same and get something far better like a Lancia Delta Integrale.
Actually if you give me $10k right now i’ll come back from Europe with 2 of these and i’ll sell you one for $10k and keep the profits and the other two I bought. Two because i’ll be using some of my profit to pick up a Sunny/Pulsar GTIR as well without spending a dime.
Or i’ll just pay a seller whose not a ripoff artist $2000 in fees and get one of these to my door for $7000 MAXIMUM.

Ya this site is on crack with their prices. It’s amazing here uninformed people continuously defend them. Everyone thinks imported cars are expensive when they are often CHEAPER landed and to your door than buying the cleanest local car.

Well, they haven’t sold it yet. I guess you can’t blame the business for aiming high, though. It’s not like the guy down the street who needs to get rid of one of his projects, so he really needs to sell it. They can just sit on their cars until someone comes along with the right level of lust... also known as more money than sense.
But yes, CP. For 14k I could have two nice E46 xi wagons. Three actually, at this point. I sold my ‘01 last july for $3,650, with no issues, and it’s still going strong according to the new owner. So that’s a huge premium just to have the E30 style, and to have a VIN that won’t show up in any US parts databases.
